Tallinn’s first Architecture Biennale was a success

More than 500 visitors from Estonia, Austria, Scandinavia, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Japan, USA and elsewhere participated in the main events of Tallinn’s first international architecture biennale (TAB) on September 8-11. Until October 22nd it is still possible to visit and experience the installation “Path in the Forest” by the Japanese architect Tetsuo Kondo. This poetic site-specific object wraps up the events of Tallinn Architecture Biennale as well as the urban installations’ festival LIFT11 held under the auspecies of Tallinn 2011.

The Estonian Centre of Architecture is grateful to all the participants, supporters, collaborating partners and team members of Tallinn Architecture Biennale! A special acknowledgement goes to the TAB volunteers – without their enthusiasm TAB would not have realized. Together we hope to develop TAB into an international architecture event with a strong identity that would each time take a new subject to explore and centre a varied architecture festival around it.

See you at the next Tallinn Architecture Biennale in 2013!

Gratefully,
The Estonian Centre of Architecture and the organizing team of TAB
